Frequently asked questions and answers:

How do I find a Service Provider in my area?
There are two main ways to find Service Providers in your area. First, to find all providers in your geographical area, simply click the search button without specifying any particular service. This will bring up all listed providers in your area within the mile radius selected. Secondly, you may specify a particular provider's service by clicking one or more of the optional checkboxes in the search box. This will narrow the list down to only services you are interested in.

Can I specify a search area other than my current?
Yes. You can enter the City name, State, or zip code of any US area to conduct your search while also choosing to add, or omit any particular provider specialty to your search.

Can I add a loved one to the MemoryGuard obituraries?
Yes. You will need to contact a Featured Provider and they will be able to assist you in adding an obituary on MemoryGuard. They will ask you for the information that they need and they will be able to add them into our system.

Can I get a full video tribute made for a loved one that passed away?
Yes. Please contact one of our Featured Providers and they will be able to create a full video along with an obituary on MemoryGuard. Although most of our Featured Providers make video tributes that are limited for free, full video tributes may have a fee.

What does it mean if a provider is "Featured"?
A Featured Provider is one that has chosen to have an active role on MemoryGuard. This includes, but not limited to, posting information and prices about their services, access to post obituaries, and make professional video tributes for families. We recommend using a Featured Provider due to them making the decision of playing an active role in helping families make the right decision for their needs.

How do I send flowers for a loved one?
You can send flowers in one of two ways. The first would be looking up the name of your loved one in the obituary section of MemoryGuard. On their obituary, there will be a "Send Flowers" icon that you can click. This will send you to an area that will already be linked to the provider that serviced/is servicing this person. From there you can pick your choice of flowers and get them sent to funeral home, or you can specify to the family's address. The second way to do this would be to look up the Funeral Home on MemoryGuard. If you know the name of the provider, you can search for them in our directory. Once you are on their page in MemoryGuard, you will see a "Send Flowers" icon that you can click. This will send you to the same area to make your purchase and send the flowers to the funeral home or to the family directly.

How can I get a Keepsake copy of a loved one's video tribute?
You can do this by looking up a loved one in our obituaries on MemoryGuard. When you find that person, you can go to their video tribute where you will see and icon for "Purchase Video Keepsakes".  The options for you to choose from will be a DVD Keepsake or a Remembered LCD Keepsake. The DVD will be a professionally designed DVD for that loved one that you will be able to watch on a DVD player. The Remembered LCD Keepsake is a video player that will allow you to watch the video tribute no matter where you are. This is a great alternative to a DVD due to not having to be in front of a TV, and you can take it and watch at any time. These are both great remembrance items from MemoryGuard that are available to you and your family.

Can I search for a particular provider by name?
Yes. Simply enter the name of the provider you would like to find. However, you should be careful to enter correct spellings while doing so. Entering incorrect spelling or adding locations or specialties that do not match the named provider you are looking for will produce undesired each results.
