Cheryl “Sherry” Lane-Grey, 61, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away in her home Sunday, December 27, 2020 surrounded by family. Sherry was born February 5, 1959 to Sandy Taylor and Benthal “David” Lane in Beech Grove, Indiana. She lived in many places including New Hampshire, Puerto Rico and Massachusetts where she met her husband Edward Grey and were wed on August 8, 1987. After giving birth to their two daughters, Andrea and Marcy, they moved to Indiana to call it home. Sherry was a huge lover of all her animals, enjoyed listening to good music and her greatest hobby was being a mom and grandma to three beautiful grandbabies, Jordan, Reagan, and Otto. She was a free spirit who made an impact to everyone she came in contact with. She would not hesitate to give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, three grandchildren, her mother and sisters and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, her father, and aunts and uncles. As Sherry was an avid animal advocate, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Humane Society of Indianapolis. Celebration of Life service 6 p.m. Thursday, January 7th at Oakley-Hammond Funeral Home, 5342 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46219 with visitation there from 4 p.m. until service time.
